Michigan Department of Environmental Quality

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) administers regulations and programs that protect public health and promote the appropriate use of, limit the adverse effects on, and restore the quality of the environment. The MDEQ Green Chemistry Program was created in 2006, and its goal is to promote green chemistry activities such as research, development, demonstration, education, and technology transfer activities in Michigan for sustainable economic development and protection of public health.
