Webinar: Integrating Toxicity Information into Chemical Design

Marty Mulvihill, Ph.D., is the executive director of the University of California Berkeley Center for Green Chemistry, where he has helped integrate green chemistry concepts into the undergraduate and graduate curriculum at UC Berkeley. In his research positions in the School of Public Health and in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Dr. Mulvihill designs safer chemicals and nanoscale materials that can help with pollution remediation and environmental sensing. He received his Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley in 2009, then performed postdoctoral research under Taleb Mokari and Jiamin Wan at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, where he characterized the stability and fate of nanoparticles in soils and groundwater.
