Webinar: Introduction to Green Engineering
Julie Schoenung, Ph.D., is a Professor and Vice-Chair of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of California Davis, where her research group synthesizes, characterizes, and models new materials for ballistic, transportation, and energy applications. She is involved in the UC Davis green engineering initiative and Green Materials Lead Campus program, and is interested in green chemistry and engineering education at all levels. Dr. Schoenung earned her Ph.D. in materials engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1987, and a B.S. in ceramic engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1983. In 2009, she was selected to be on California’s Green Ribbon Science Panel for safer consumer products.
